How to make a Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Board
Whether you’re celebrating Valentine's Day or Galentine’s day, we have the perfect charcuterie board for you!

So let’s get to the basics: What exactly is a charcuterie board?
A charcuterie board (pronounced “shahr-ku-tuh-ree”) is the French tradition of preparing and assembling cured meats. Modern charcuterie boards can include, cheeses, nuts, fruits, artisan bread/crackers and more.  You have our permission to be as creative as you’d like to be!

Let’s get into our simple but delectable charcuterie board, shall we proceed? (yes indeed)
We believe charcuterie boards are perfect appetizers, coupled with a wine or drink of your choice. In our board, we omitted meat, however feel free to add prosciutto, salami or another cured meat of your choice.

Items used
Cheese: Manchego
Chocolate: Trader Joes Heart Truffles and Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Raspberry
Fruit: Strawberries, raspberries and grapes
Bread: Brioche toasts  and crackers
Decor: pink roses for a pop of color
Dip(not pictured): Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Blossom & Multi-Floral Honey

Board
Feel free to use a wooden board, platter or large plate. We used a cute heart shaped platter!

Placement
When beginning to place your items think about the following for visuals: color, contrast and texture. (We love to start with a Haus of Havilah candle in the middle of our board for ambience and build from there). We recommend placing bright colors near nudes or darker hues. Remember your board should look full so don’t worry about having too much, in this case extra is better!

Anddddd viola….you have a fun and delectable charcuterie board! Remember there is no one way to make a charcuterie board. Feel free to experiment with various meats, nuts, fruits, etc when you make your own. Make sure to pair with your favorite Haus of Havilah candle and playlist to complete the mood!
